What is Defend tag?

Defend tag is a personal protective tag which gives the bearer one cubic meter protection from airborne germs. The Defend Tag is created in Japan, and this technology has been used for over 20 years.  Our sodium chlorite tag is innovatively formulated to release standardised amounts of chlorine dioxide (ClO²) at an effective concentration.

The ClO² released will sanitise and disinfect the immediate surroundings of the bearer, killing airborne germs that are lingering around. 

Defend tag is highly recommended for use when one is in a confined space or crowded area.

Chlorine Dioxide

• Chlorine Dioxide (ClO²) is used to kill bacteria, viruses and fungi. 
• ClO² is commonly used to disinfect drinking water.
• At low concentrations, Chlorine Dioxide:
  • Is effective against a wide spectrum of micro-organisms.
  • Does not form harmful chlorinated by-products.
  • Is non-irritating to eyes, nose and skin.
  • Is non-pungent.

Is Defend tag safe to use?

Chlorine Dioxide (ClO²) gas at low concentrations is proven to be safe and effective anti-microbial agent. Defend tag is innovated to be able to control the release of ClO² concentration. This standardized release of ClO² is able to protect the bearer from airborne pathogens.
